The bike ride “Lviv — Mykolaiv,” aimed at raising funds to solve the water supply problem.
Idea
Since mid-April, the half-million-strong hero city of Mykolaiv has been without centralized drinking water supply, and the technical water from the taps is not suitable for cooking or washing dishes.
The 815-kilometer bike journey from Lviv to Mykolaiv aimed to raise awareness of the issue and collect 2,400,000 UAH for the construction and maintenance of two wells in Mykolaiv for one year.
Bike ride
On September 24, we left Kyiv for Lviv by “Intercity” train with bikes and all necessary gear, and by October 8, we returned to Mykolaiv.
In two weeks, we managed to raise nearly half a million hryvnias, which were transferred to the first filtration system for setting up a drinking water point for the residents of Mykolaiv.
How was it? It was super! Super hard, super easy, super long, super fast, and super important. Thank you to everyone determined for your support and belief!
